Shore Builders Honors Local Developer with Industry Achievement Awards

Walters Group wins eight fame awardsBARNEGAT, N.J., March 8, 2013 – The Walters Group, a leading residential and commercial builder, was presented with eight FAME (Fabulous Achievement in Marketing Excellence) awards and five individual achievement awards at the 10th Annual awards ceremony presented by Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey.

"It's a tremendous honor to be recognized within the homebuilding industry," said Ed Walters, Jr., founder and partner of the Walters Group. "These awards shine a spotlight on our team of dedicated professionals, who have worked hard to achieve remarkable results for their marketing efforts in what was a challenging year."

Walters Homes received four awards for their planning and execution of marketing programs promoting Stafford Preserve, a LEED-certified luxury apartment community in Barnegat. Stafford Preserve received the Shore Builders Fame Awards for "Best Brochure for a Multi-Family Multi-Unit Rental, Best Interior Merchandising for a Multi-Family Multi-Unit Rental, Best Signage for a Multi-Family Multi-Unit Rental," and "Best Clubhouse/Recreation Amenities, under 8,000 square feet."

In addition to those categories, the FAME Awards also encompass many Individual Achievement Awards. Top honors were presented to four Walters employees. Pamela Schuster was awarded "Sales Manger of the Year" for successfully managing the firm's sales offices at Ocean Acres at Barnegat and Whispering Hills, and promoting all of the residential developments. The Salesperson of the Year award was presented to Laurie McManus, sales associate, for her instrumental sales efforts. Jon Parker, field supervisor, was named Project Superintendent of the Year. Ken DeMayo was honored as Director/Vice President of Construction of the Year.

Individual Achievement Awards were presented to six Walters Homes employees.

For excellence in sales in the Million Dollar Club category, Laurie McManus was recognized at the Silver level, and also into the Circle of Honor Club at the Platinum Level with over $6.5 million in sales at Ocean Acres. Michele Bowcock, sales representative for Whispering Hills, was recognized into the Million Dollar Club at the Bronze level with over $1 million in sales. The Million Dollar Club Awards are presented to salespeople who execute sales of at least $1 million.

Stafford Preserve community manager Rylie Ragan, and leasing consultants Brittany Arace and Stephanie Tatta were inducted into the Leasing Excellence Club. Additionally, Danielle Edreff won for Options/Upgrade Sales Achievement for her work at Ocean Acres and Whispering Hills.

Walters is currently developing several major residential projects in southern Ocean County, including Ocean Acres at Barnegat, a single-family luxury residential community; Whispering Hills, a multi-family development consisting of townhouses, single-family homes, and rental apartments; and Stafford Preserve, an apartment-rental community located within Stafford Park.
